lifeofthemachine.Inspectthegaugesandtestanydiagnosticlampspriortostart-up.During
operationobservethegaugesandanylampsforproperfunctioning.RefertoOperating
Controls,forthenormalreadings.
FuelTank
CLEANfuelinthefueltanksisvitallyimportantandeveryprecautionshouldbetakento
ensurethatonlycleanfuelispouredorpumpedintothetank.
Whenllingthefueltankonthisunit,bymethodsotherthanapumpandhose,useaCLEAN
non-metallicfunnel.
Battery
Keepthebatteryposts-to-cableconnectionsclean,tightandlightlycoatedwithagrease.
Alsotheelectrolytelevelineachcellshouldcoverthetopoftheplates.Ifnecessary,top-up
withcleandistilledwater.
Tires
Aweeklyinspectionisrecommended.Tiresthathavecutsorcracksorlittletreadshouldbe
repairedorreplaced.Monthlycheckthewheellugnutsfortightness.
Fasteners
Visuallycheckentireunitinregardtobolts,nutsandscrewsbeingproperlysecured.Spot
checkseveralcapscrewsandnutsforpropertorque.Ifanyarefoundloose,amorethorough
inspectionmustbemade.Takecorrectiveaction.
