6.20 REPLACEMENT OF THE WHEEL HOUSING
Dismounting:
- Remove the housing cover
- Remove the wheel shaft see 6.19 Replacement of the wheel
- Remove the small chain sprocket ( Fig. 103)
- Remove 2 countersunk screws no.1 (Fig. 103) , 3 capscrews no.3 (Fig. 104)
- Remove the wheel housing
Mounting: (take the above steps in reverse order)
- Clean wheel housing contact surface
- Install all 2 countersunk screws no.1 with LOCTITE 243 and three capscrews no.3, for the middle one use a
new self-securing nut ( Fig. 103, 104)
- Insert the wheel housing spring pins no.2 (Fig. 103)
- Install the wheel shaft with sprocket and wheel hub see 6.19 Replacement of the wheel
- Install the drive chain and small chain sprocket, secure the sprocket bolt with LOCTITE 243
- Install the chain tensioning segment
- Tension and lubricate the chain see 6.18 Adjustment and replacement of the wheel driving chain
- Use a silicone sealant to seal wheel housing cover to the wheel housing and secure it.
- Eventually secure screws of the housing cover with LOCTITE 243
