6.23 ADJUSTMENT OF THE WHEEL GEOMETRY
- Lift the mower (the wheels must be off the ground)
- Adjust the wheels in a straight forward direction
- Release the clamp bushing-taper lock of the steering chain sprocket
Release one of the grubscrew no.1(two turns) and remove second one (Fig. 109)
Tighten the removed one into the thread 2 until the taper lock doesn´t release (Fig. 110)
Return the grubscrews into the threads 1 (screw them in, but do not tighten them – the taper locks
must be lose so that they can be turned by hand)
- When turning the taper locks MIND a possible collision between the grubscrew and the driving pulley (Fig.
111)
- Hold a straight lath along the wheel housings on the left side of the machine and to the wheel rims on the
right side of the machine. Adjust the wheels to be parallel. (Fig. 112, Fig. 113)
- Fasten at least one grubscrew of the taper lock (an accessible one). Do not turn the wheels prior to tightening
the screw, otherwise the geometry is impaired!
- After the first screw is tight, turn the wheels (ATTENTION! The wheels must be off the ground!)
- Fasten the second grubscrew
- Re-check the geometry with the straight lath
- Alternatively turn the wheels and tighten both screws of the taper lock of all wheels untill the clamp
bushings are fully tight (approximately 23 Nm)
