8 What you need to know about SmartWire-DT
This chapter provides a general overview of SmartWire-DT (SWD).

With SmartWire-DT you can interconnect up to 99 modules very quickly in
simple steps. Modules can consist of switchgears as well as I/O compo-
nents.
The ribbon cable with the SWD modules and all components required for
connecting them is called the SWD line. The SWD line starts at the blade ter-
minal as a possible connection to the control relay and then ends at the bus
termination.
