HMIpanelXV300mustbeconnectedtoacentralearthpointwithacon-
ductorthatisasshortandhasaslowaresistanceaspossible.

Wire cross-sectional area ≧ 1.5 mm², length ≦ 350 mm
TheXV300needstobeconnectedtotheconductivestructurein,e.g.,the
controlpanelusingthecentralearthpoint(earthingscrew).Fortrouble-free
operation,thistypeofgroundingismandatory.
DANGER
STRAYCURRENTS
Largeequalizingcurrentsbetweenthefunctionalearthingsystemandthe
groundsystemofdifferentdevicesmayresultinfireorinmalfunctionsdue
tosignalinterference.
If necessary, route an equipotential bonding conductor, with a cross-sectional
area that is several times larger than that of the cable shielding, parallel to the
cable.
CAUTION
NON-GALVANICALLY-ISOLATEDINTERFACES
TheXV300maybedamagedbypotentialdifferences.
The GND terminals of all bus modules must be connected.
Do not connect the connector to the XV300 or disconnect it without first de-
energizing the system.
CAUTION
DATALOSS
IftheSDcardisbeingwrittentoandavoltagedropoccursorthecardis
removed,datamaybelostortheSDcardmayberuined.
Insert the SD card only when the XV300 is de-energized.
AvoidwritingtoSDcards.Reasons:
l SD cards have a limited number of write cycles.
l If there is a voltage drop while a write operation is in progress, data loss is highly
