Basic operation
Switching the map orientation
The orientation of the map being displayed can be switched.
• North up display
The map appears with north pointing up at all
times regardless of the vehicle's heading.
(The maps appearing in this manual are
shown in north up display form.)
• Heading up display
The map appears with the heading of the
vehicle pointing up at all times.

Switching the map orientation
When in heading up display, maps retrieved by setting the destination and all-
route display screens are shown with north up. However, when returning to the
present location screen, the display will switch back to heading up.
