8.3 Aligning the mechanical stroke adjustment
The metering pump is set in the factory at the rated pressure in accordance with the metering
curves. If the actual metering rate does not match the value shown on the % scale (for
example, after pulling out the adjusting button and reinserting it elsewhere), the basic setting
can be created as follows:
Switch on the metering pump
Set the button at 100 % and, with the pump in operation, rotate the
adjusting screw clockwise until tension becomes apparent.
If no resistance is achieved, pull the button out at the "0" setting and
repeat process 2.
Then pull the button out and reinsert the adjusting notch and
marking at the "0" setting on the scale and set the required metering
capacity.
The pump capacity has to be measured in order to determine the metering capacity
accurately (see section 7.5 "Metering rate calculation").
