Installing System Software
• Any Windows computer with:
• Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10
• USB 3.0 port
• Minimum 500MB of available memory
• Internet connection enabled
To download the system software files, you need an Internet access.
Install the Fiery Installer Builder on this Windows computer.
• USB flash drive
Use the USB flash drive for installing the system software on E-35A.
Note: Due to the file system restriction, the maximum size of the USB flash drive you can use is 32GB. The
minimum size required is 16GB.
• SATA to USB adapter
SATA to USB adapter is needed if you are installing a replacement SATA HDD on the E-35A. Using this adapter,
connect the SATA HDD to the USB port on the computer having the Fiery Installer Builder, and prepare the SATA
HDD for installation. The SATA HDD will be formatted and the system software will be loaded on the SATA HDD.
Fiery Installer Builder
You can download the Fiery Installer Builder from the EFI Sales Portal. Using the Fiery Installer Builder you can
perform the following tasks:
• Download the system software files from the EFI cloud server to your local or network storage location.
• Prepare a USB flash drive for system software installation.
• Prepare a spare SATA HDD that you can install as a replacement HDD on the E-35A.
To download and install the Fiery Installer Builder
1 From your web browser, access fiery.efi.com/FIB.
2 Sign in to the EFI Sales Portal.
If you do not have an account at EFI Sales Portal, click Register now to create an account. Activate your account
using the activation link received in your mailbox, and then Sign in.
3 Under the Fiery Installer Builder, click the Fiery Installer Builder download link to download.
4 Navigate to the downloaded Fiery Installer Builder .exe file and then double-click to install.
When the installation is complete, the Fiery Installer Builder window appears automatically. The installation
creates the Fiery Installer Builder icon on the Windows desktop.
