This chapter describes set-up procedures for the EFI Pro 32r Superwide Format Printer. Perform the tasks in this chapter

when setting up the printer for operation.

The print table on a Pro 32r printer is a uniformly perforated metal beam, leveled with the Y and T shafts. The print table

supports the media fed through the printer, at the point where the print heads release ink.

Print tables include a built-in vacuum system and a set two of wings (front and rear) that can be used:

• For mesh and porous media printing, to lift the media above the print table when

covered with cloth. (See section.)

• To set extra tension when printing on challenging media, such as certain kinds of polyethylene.

When media passes over the print table, the vacuum reduces wrinkles in the media and ensures stable media advancement.
