Overview
Gas valve selection
N.B.:
•
The pressure loss specified in the table
is to be added to the combustion
chamber pressure of the boiler in mbar
with the rated load.
•
The calculated gas flow pressure is to be
complied with at the gas valve inlet. To
calculate the gas flow pressures required
at the transfer station it is also necessary
to take into account the pressure loss of
the gas supply from the transfer station
to the gas valve inlet incl. all valves
contained therein (cut-out valves, com
-
pensator, gas counter, TAS, additional
filter, etc.).
•
The operating point of the system must
be within the permissible working range
of the burner.

Combustion chamber pressure with boiler rated load: 3 mbar

Gas flow pressure at transfer station with boiler rated load: 30 mbar

•
Checking the selection:

Gas pressure loss from gas valve (from table): 25 mbar
–
Combustion chamber pressure: 3 mbar
–
Gas supply pressure loss 1 mbar
–
Total 29 mbar
–
Hence: gas flow pressure at transfer station: 30 mbar > 29 mbar
