Troubleshooting
A common problem can be a cable installed in the field that is exposed to the
elements. It can absorb moisture and thus lower its insulation resistance. Measure
for shorts, opens, and low IR (insulation resistance) as shown in Figure 7-17 and
Table 7-3.
