8.2 Structure and function of the operating menu
8.2.1 Structure of the operating menu
Menu Submenu /

Meaning
Language
1)
Defines the operating language of the on-
site display.
Commissioning
2)
Opens the interactive wizard for a guided
commissioning of the device.
As a rule, no additional settings in the
other menus are required after the
completion of the wizard.
Setup Parameter 1

Parameter N
When all these parameters have been
assigned appropriate values, the
measured should be completely
configured in a standard application.
Advanced setup Contains further submenus and
parameters:
to adapt the device to special measuring
conditions.
to process the measured value (scaling,
linearization).
to configure the signal output.
Diagnostics Diagnostic list Contains up to 5 currently active error
messages.
Event logbook

Contains the last 20 messages (which are
no longer active).
Device information Contains information needed to identify
the device.
Measured values Contains all current measured values.
Data logging Contains the history of the individual
measuring values.
Simulation Used to simulate measured values or
output values.
Device check Contains all parameters needed to check
the measurement capability of the device.
Heartbeat
4)
Contains all wizards for the Heartbeat
Verification and Heartbeat Monitoring
application packages.
Expert
5)
Contains all parameters of the device
(including those which are already contained
in one of the above submenus). This menu is
organized according to the function blocks of
the device.
The parameter of the Expert menu are
described in:
GP01014F (HART)
System Contains all general device parameters
which do not affect the measurement or
the communication interface.
Sensor Contains all parameters needed to
configure the measurement.
Output Contains all parameters needed to
configure the current output.
Contains all parameters neeed to
configure the switch output (PFS).
