Maintenance 4. Joint #1 (Replacing the Reduction Gear Unit)

Remove the circular spline and flexspline from
the Arm #1.
Hexagon socket head cap bolt
: 12-M5×40 (with disc spring)
Remove the bearing from the waveform
generator using a hand press or
similar tool.
Remove the bearing from the Joint #1 output gear.
Remove the oil seal from the Arm #1.
caked-on liquid gasket residue with a scraper or similar tool.
Repair scratches incurred during
tap use with a sharpening stone or similar tool.
