PROCEDURE
1. When any paper is loaded, remove it.
2. Move the Media Loading Lever to the front side, and set it to the Hold position.
3. Unlock the CR Unit, and move the unit to the center of the platen. (P. 98)
4. Make sure the PG is ++ (2.6mm).
5. Place the thickness gauge referring Figure 4-26 and Figure 4-27, and slowly move
the CR unit over the platen.

C A U T I O N
This adjustment adjusts the gap between the Print Head and the
platen. Because the platen expands with heat of the heaters, the
accurate gap cannot be measured immediately after turning off the
printer. Wait until the platen cools down before starting the
adjustment.
C A U T I O N
Carefully move the CR Unit so that it does not contact with the
nozzle surface of the Print Head.

the left end of the gauge with the metal
pointer.
Set the thickness gauge aligning the top
edge with the upper right corners of the
hollows on the Adjustment Plate.
