6 Installation Instructions
The terminal assignment and wiring illustrated in these installation instructions refer exclusively to the
facilities of the operating system software for the Federal Republic of Germany [D].
Operation of the fire alarm control panel 8000C is governed by the national version of the operating
system software used and the country version programmed in the customer data.
6.1 Standards / Guidelines / Information

Only install the control panel in dry, clean and conditionally accessible rooms with an
atmosphere conforming to DIN 50019-R14.

Do not install the system in operating areas with harmful effects. Parts of the fire alarm system
may only be carried through such operating areas if they satisfy the requirements laid down in
VDE 0800.

Operating modules and visual displays must be installed no lower than 500 mm and no higher
than 1800 mm - between 800 mm and 1800 mm if wall-mounted - above the surface on which
the operator stands.
♦
A separate power circuit with appropriately marked fuse (marked in red and lettered "FACP")
must be provided for supplying the fire alarm control panel with mains power.
♦
When installing, observe the accepted standards and VdS Guideline 2095, the wiring
conditions of the regional fire department and, if applicable, building regulations.
Measures of EMC protection
The fire alarm control panel 8000C is factory-fitted with fine EMC protection to IEC 801. Only use
the protection modules approved by ESSER for any supplementary medium or coarse protection
of mains supply lines or signal lines (refer to ESSER information sheet on Lightening and
overvoltage protection in hazard alarm systems part no. 798410).
Protective measures to discharge static electricity must be observed when handling the
modules and working on the fire alarm control panel!
