Connecting the PE conductors (protective earth)
In order to ensure proper fire alarm control panel operation, all PE conductors must be connected
to the screw terminals (mantle terminals) and lugs provided on the control panel housing for this
purpose. The PE connection of the control panel housing must be additionally connected to the
potential compensation rail. The 8000C FACP is a protection class
I.
device.

Risk of short circuit
All voltage and signal lines connected to the basic module must
be secured with suitable fastening material such as plastic cable binders to prevent
slipping. Work on the fire alarm central unit 8000C may only be carried out when it is
deenergized (mains and emergency power supply).
The basic module is connected to the rear wall plate of the central unit’s housing with the three
metal spacers and the metal screws. Correct functional earthing of the FACP 8000C is not
possible without this electrically conductive connection between the basic board and the metal rear
panel.
