Introducing the FIP-400B Fiber Inspection Probe and ConnectorMax2 Mobile
6 FIP-400B
Multifiber Source
When the battery of the MFS is low, you can recharge it with the
provided USB cable and the USB power adapter that you connect to a
power outlet. You can also use the provided USB cable alone that you
connect to a USB port of a computer. See Recharging the Battery of the
Multifiber Source on page 114 for details.
The fiber adapters allow you to connect the MPO connectors.
See Setting up the Multifiber Source on page 103 for details.
The patchcord is wrapped around the unit. This cable management
system allows you to use a patchcord as connector savers for the MPO
connectors on the MFS. Changing the patchcord also allows you to use
the same unit to test:
APC and UPC connectors
Male (pinned) and female (unpinned) connectors
Singlemode and multimode cables
With the MFS-24, you can use a split (Y) cable to test MPO connectors
with 12 fibers. See Setting up the Multifiber Source on page 103 for
details.
The battery LED indicates the charge status of the MFS. See Multifiber
Source LED Indicators on page 10 for details.
