specification.
Mounting
Most accuracy and repeatability problems can be attributed to improper
mounting of the Gage. These issues are not always obvious. An apparently stable
mount can actually be moving more than the accuracy of the device, directly
impacting results and causing system performance degradation.
If using a magnetic mount, check that mating surfaces are
clean and free of debris.

OTE: Small metal shavings can cause the Gage to rock back
and forth. The magnet will naturally attract these shavings.
