10. SWITCHING OFF
The following instructions are to be followed whenever the CARD G FIT unit is to be switched
off:
NEVER USE THE MAIN POWER SWITCH TO SWITCH OFF THE DRYER UNLESS
IN EMERGENCY.
To stop the hopper loader, press the keys (if connected to the
CARD G FIT).
To stop the drying process, press the keys simultaneously. The FIT-
controller will switch the heater off but it will continue the compressed air flow to
cool down the process air heater. The main power switch is to be kept in the ON
position until the cooling procedure is finished. Moving the main power switch to the
OFF position will also stop the hopper loader if connected to the CARD G FIT.
The main power switch is to be kept in ON position if the loader needs to be
kept in operation or if the dryer and/or loader are set up to automatically start
with the programmable weekly timer.
The following instructions are to be followed additionally whenever the CARD G FIT unit is to be
switched off for a longer time period:
Disconnect electrical power supply.
Close and disconnect compressed air line.
Disconnect electrical lines to the loader device.
Disconnect the compressed air line to the loader device.
Remove the loader device from the CARD G FIT.
Remove mechanical accessories (flange etc.) from the CARD G FIT.
Disconnect electrical lines to external devices (external alarm contact, …).
Clean the drying hopper on the inside.
Use the original packing to store the CARD G FIT at a protected place.
