18. FAULTS AND REMEDY
The following pages contain an overview of
faults which may occur on the CARD G FIT with appropriate troubleshooting.
NOTE:
The numbers mentioned between parentheses in this chapter are references to
part numbers in the schematic drawing in chapter 6 on page 9, and the
numbers mentioned between brackets are references to the wiring diagram at
the end of this manual.
18.1 FAULTS WITH DISPLAY TEXT
The pressure switch (1.3) [2S5] in the process air circuit reports no or low air pressure.
No or low compressed air at the inlet of the
CARD G FIT unit (1.1).
Check if compressed air supply matches the
requirements (see chapter 7 on page 11).
Leaks in the compressed air line inside the
CARD G FIT unit.
Check for leaks and seal any leaking fitting.
Compressed air alarm is only detected when
the hopper loader is running.
External compressed air lines are too small
or the external air pressure is too low (see
the requirements in chapter 9.1 on page 15).
The compressed air inlet of the CARD G FIT unit
is blocked.
Check compressed air supply and the inlet of
the compressed air in the CARD G FIT unit.
The compressed air switch (1.3) [2S5] is not
correctly set.
Use the adjusting screw on the pressure
switch to adjust the alarm set point to 3.0bars
[40PSI].
The pressure regulator (1.4) is not correctly set.
Contact or its exclusive
representative for the correct setting.
The compressed air pressure switch (1.3) [2S5]
is defective.
24V DC must be measurable at both terminals
(to ground) of the switch when compressed
air is available. Replace the switch if needed.
Solenoid valve (1.2) [3Y14] does not open when
drying is activated.
Check voltage supply 24VDC to valve; if OK,
replace valve.
