FAULTS AND REMEDY
CARD G / FIT 76 V 6.15 E / April 2010
The FIT-controller shut down the process heater preemptively to avoid excess temperature in the
heater.
Solenoid valve (1.2) [3Y14] does not open when
drying is activated and pressure switch (1.3)
[2S5] is defective.
24V DC must be measurable at both
terminals (to ground) of the switch when
compressed air is available. Replace the
switch if needed
Check voltage supply 24VDC to valve; if OK,
replace valve.
Compressed air is missing and pressure switch
(1.3) [2S5] is defective.
Restore compressed air supply and replace
pressure switch.
Solid state relay [1V7] is defective. There must be 220V...230V AC between L-
and N-(L2)wire of the heater when the solid
state relay is powered (green LED is ON) if
not, replace SSR.
Heater (1.7) [1E7] defective. Check heater resistance (290Ohm); if
necessary, replace heater.
This fault cannot be eliminated before is pressed to switch off the drying process.
The safety thermostat of the process air heater (1.9) [3S8] has tripped.
Solenoid valve (1.2) [3Y14] does not open when
drying is activated and pressure switch (1.3)
[2S5] is defective.
24V DC must be measurable at both
terminals of the switch when compressed air
is available. Replace the switch if needed
Check voltage supply 24VDC to valve; if OK,
replace valve.
Compressed air is missing and pressure switch
(1.3) [2S5] is defective.
Restore compressed air supply and replace
pressure switch.
Solid state relay [1V7] is shorted. There must not be 220V...230V AC between L-
and N-(L2)wire of the heater when the solid
state relay is not
powered (green LED is
dark) replace SSR if necessary.
Heater (1.7) [1E7] defective. Check heater resistance (290Ohm); if
necessary, replace heater.
This fault cannot be eliminated before is pressed to switch off the drying process.
