FAULTS AND REMEDY
CARD G / FIT 77 V 6.15 E / April 2010
The contactor of the heater [3K8] is activated although the drying is deactivated.
The output X6-3 on the FIT-controller is
defective (see the wiring diagram at the end of
this manual).
Replace the FIT-controller if 24VDC is
measured on the output x6-3 of the FIT-
controller while the drying process is
deactivated.
The process air heater (1.7) [1E7] is deactivated and the compressed air flow is shut off because
the measured temperature is more than +20°C [+36°F] than the set temperature. This is to avoid
melting the material in the drying hopper.
See fault SAFETY THERMOSTAT on page 76
and fault TEMPERATURE TOO HIGH on page 78.
Remedy as described in fault SAFETY
THERMOSTAT on page 76 and fault
TEMPERATURE TOO HIGH on page 78.
This fault cannot be eliminated before is pressed to switch off the drying process and
the temperature is lowered to the set point.
No continuity in the temperature sensor of the heater (1.8) [2B14].
The conductivity of the PT1000 sensor (1.8)
[2B14] is not available on one of the wires.
Re-connect or replace the wire.
PT1000 sensor (1.8) [2B14] defective. Replace the sensor.
The temperature sensor of the heater (1.8) [2B14] shorted out.
The PT1000 sensor (1.8) [2B14] is shorted out on
one of the wires.
Repair or replace the wire.
PT1000 sensor (1.8) [2B14] defective. Replace the sensor.
