FAULTS AND REMEDY
CARD G / FIT 78 V 6.15 E / April 2010
The set temperature of the process air is not reached within the time limit after starting the
drying process.
Process air flow is too high. The pressure
regulator (1.4) is not correctly adjusted.
Contact or its representative to
obtain the right settings and set the valves
correctly.
Solid state relay [1V7] is defective. There must be 220V...230V AC between wire
L- and N-(L2) of the heater when the solid
state relay is powered on (green LED on SSR
is ON) if not, replace SSR.
The relay [3K8] is not pulling in. Make sure that 24V DC is measurable on the
terminals A1, A2 on the contactor from FIT-
controller x6-3 through the thermostat [3S8]
to the contactor (see the wiring diagram at
the end of this manual); if voltage is OK,
replace relay.
Heater (1.7) [1E7] defective. Check heater resistance (290Ohm); if
necessary, replace heater.
The temperature of the process air is above the limit settings (set value plus 10°C [18°F]).
The solid state relay [1V7] shorted out. Replace the SSR if voltage between the
phases is available while the drying process
is deactivated.
PID parameters are not correctly set. Set the PID values to factory settings
(contact ).
The heater (1.7) [1E7] is defective. Check if there is an earth connection or a
short circuit in the heater; replace it if
required.
The temperature of the process air is below the limit settings (set value minus 10°C [18°F]).
The alarm has been generated by another
alarm (e.g. NO COMPRESSED AIR), since the
temperature in the heater has dropped.
Acknowledge alarm and monitor if the
temperature rises to the set value again.
See also TEMP. NOT REACHED on page 78. Remedy according this alarm (see page 78).
