2.3.3 Power supply for external components
If you connect the Checkbox via the connections PLC,
ACTUAT OR or BUFFER/FEEDER with other devices
(e.g.PLC,conveyordevice),observethefollowing:
Note
In order to comply with the EMC limits, the Checkbox is
equipped with a filter for the operating voltage.
A connection between the 24 V potential and GND at the
24 V DC plug with other plugs on the Checkbox or with
other devices will in some cases bridge the installed filter.
Asymmetries of the currents in the outgoing and return
lines will reduce the effect of the filter.
S Use a separate power unit for the Checkbox. Provide a
separate power supply for connected current-consuming
devices.
S Do not connect the 24 V potential and GND at the
“24 V DC” connection of the Checkbox with other plugs
of the Checkbox or with other devices.
S Make sure that the currents of the inputs and outputs
flow via the Checkbox and not directly to the power unit.
Consuming devices can also be supplied with voltage via the
PL C plug. Observe also the information in Chapter 3.6.
