3.6 Finger cuff
A finger cuff (Figure 3.7 Finger cuff) consists of an air bladder and
several layers of plastic, rubber material and Velcro adhesive. The cuff
contains the electronic components (LED and photodiode) of an
infrared photo-plethysmograph. A cuff cable connector and an air hose
connector connect the finger cuff to the Frontend Unit. The cuffs are
available in three sizes: Small (white), Medium (beige) and Large
(blue).
