Users can select the desired communication protocol from one of the seven available options:
 Nortech
 MODBUS RTU
 MODBUS ASCII
 MODBUS TCP-IP
 IEC 61850 (available with optional gateway)
 IEC 60870-5-104 (available with optional gateway)
 DNP 3.0 (available with optional gateway)
