User’s manual FlexGain Plex, V2
Version 1.3 25 from 99
1.7 Ethernet interface.
In this version of the software the Ethernet interface is used to configure the FlexGain
Plex, V2 multiplexer and to download (upgrade) the software over the TCP/IP protocol. The
interface complies with the IEEE 802.3 standard.
An RJ-45F (female) connector is used for coupling to the local Ethernet network.
1.8 Daughter board interfaces.
The multiplexer provides mapping of up to any eight TSs on P1 – P8 voice
interfaces. Two daughter boards are used for these purposes, each supporting the
transmission of up to four voice channels over the following interfaces:
FXO – provides connection of the multiplexer to office equipment;
FXS – provides connection of the multiplexer to subscriber equipment;
E&M – is used to organize voice-frequency channels.
One of the daughter boards ensures the transmission of P1 - P4 channels, while the
other ensures the transmission of P5 - P8 channels. Eight RJ-11 (6 pins) connectors are
used to couple the multiplexer to the office or subscriber equipment.
1.9 Signaling.
In PCM30 and PCM30C modes, signaling information about the line status is
transmitted in a separate time slot. (By default, TS No. 16.)
The following variants of line subscriber signaling are realized:
Signaling over one dedicated channel:
«Transparent»;
Signaling over two dedicated channels:
«MMX» – subscriber signaling;
«Definity®» - signaling providing interaction of the PBX, which has an E1
channel, with the FG-Plex-4FXS equipment.
Signaling in the voice stream:
«MEGATRANS» - signaling is used to organize service traffic and dispatch
communication in repeaters. MEGATRANS signaling is transmitted in one
time slot with the voice data. In this case, an additional time slot is not used to
transmit signaling.
E&M signaling over two dedicated channels is to be ordered. The detailed
description of this type of signaling is presented in Appendix 1 “Daughter boards”.
