Part 3. Programming guide.
The hardware of the device allows the customer to use new functions by updating
software. The system software is stored in the Flash-memory, which is available for
downloading through the control ports. Software should be downloaded by authorized
personnel only or by the manufacturer at the service centre.
The presented guide on software loading suits all the FlexGain Plex, V2 devices.
The software downloading can be performed in one of the following ways:
Over the Ethernet network (by using a special NETLOADER prgram).
Through the serial RS-232 port over the X-modem protocol.
Over the Ethernet network (the X-modem protocol).
Note: It is assumed in the programming guide that the IP address of the devices is
10.3.3.3. The value of the IP address is determined by the parameters of the user network
and can not coincide with the default IP address of the device. The user’s local network
should not contain two similar IP addresses.
3.1 Software downlading over the Ethernet network (NetLoader).
List of the equipment and means necessary for the software downloading into the
device:
A PC connected to the Ethernet network.
NetLoader.EXE program.
A “twisted pair” cable (crossover cable):
