• • after the command is typed, press <enter> «↵».
2.2.2.2 Management of Sub-Rack devices.
The rear panel of the shelf contains the control bus with TTL levels, which is
organized according to the “point-multipoint” scheme. The shelf has a TTL – RS-232 level
converter, and an interface to connect the terminal. If ACU or CMU units are used in the
system, the control interface is located on the front panel of the device (the interface on the
rear panel of the shelf is disconnected automatically in this case).
Use a standard (modem) RS-232 cable to connect the terminal. While attaching the
cable to the serial (COM) computer port, make sure that the port is not busy by drivers of
other devices (for example, mouse). The configuration of the terminal program should
correspond to the parameters of the port listed below:
• Transmission rate: 9600 kbit/s;
• Transmission format: 8-N-1;
• Flow control: NONE;
• Terminal type: VT100.
At any one time only one device in the shelf can be logically connected to the
management interface.
The device is chosen in accordance with the slot number, in which it is mounted. To
choose the necessary device, input <%NN↵>, where NN is the slot number.
