MEGATRANS signaling can be used to organize communication according to the “point-
multipoint” scheme (see the description of the FG-PLEX-SR-NG device). While configuring
the voice ports in the MEGATRANS mode, LEDs display the statuses of voice ports
according to the user’s guide of FG-Plex-SR-NG. See <CONNECT> and < SIGNALING>
commands.
1.10 Clock modes.
The operation of the multiplexer depends on the clocking from external E1 streams
both received and transmitted. The presence of asynchronous streams, when the
requirements of Rec. G.704 are observed, inevitably leads to information slips during their
cross-connect.
The device supports three clock sources, any of which the user can choose during
configuration.
1.10.1 Internal clock.
The INTERNAL mode. This clock source represents an internal silica clock with the
frequency of 2048000 +/- 100 Hz. This mode is used by default and is activated by
<DEFAULT> and <SETCLOCK INT> commands in the CONFIGURATION
MANAGEMENT menu.
