1.12 Use of clock modes.
Warning! The operation values of the clock parameters should be configured based on
the requirements to the connected equipment and schemes of its interaction with other
devices.
1.13 Cross-connect of Е1 streams.
The FlexGain Plex, V2 multiplexer allows duplex byte transmission of information
between time slots of E1 streams (PCM1 and PCM2). The maximum number of duplex
cross-connections employed at a time is equal to 62(31х2).
In PCM30 and PCM30C modes, the signaling channel (by default, TS No. 16 can be
moved by using the <MOVECAS> command) is used for signaling in CAS channels. The
CAS cross-connect is performed synchronously with the cross-connection of user time
slots. In PCM31 and PCM31C modes, the signaling time slot is cross-connected as the
user’s.
In PCM30 and PCM30C modes, during data receive and transmit between E1 ports,
the digital signal processing (DSP) unit retransmits CAS bytes of cross-connected E1
streams in accordance with the cross-connect map.
It is not allowed to cross-connect time slots used by user interfaces (V.35, FXS,
FXO, E&M, Ethernet).
Figures 7 and 8 show the structural cross-connect schemes.
