3.2.17. Initialization being completed (automatic), it is necessary to reset the
device by using the <RESET> command in the «Configuration Management»
menu.
3.2.18. The software downloading is completed.
3.3 Software downloading over the Ethernet network (X-modem or TELNET).
List of the equipment and means necessary for the software downloading into the
device:
• A PC connected to the Ethernet network.
• A terminal program (for example, Hyper Terminal by Microsoft).
• A twisted-pair cable (CAT5) with an RJ – 45 (male) connector on the
FlexGain
Plex, V2
side. The pin assignment of the connector is presented in the Table
below:

• A shelf, for example, FG-COMPACT for Sub-Rack devices.
• A PLEX2_Vxx.DAT file for
FlexGain Plex, V2 (PLEX2_Vxx.DAT, where хх is the
version number).
• Power supply.
Sequence of operations.
The sequence of operations is analogous to the downloading via the (see 3.2). The
difference is in the fact that in item 3.2.7 it is necessary to select not the number of the
serial port but TCP/IP Socket. Set the port number equal to 23 (TELNET). The advantage
of this method is high rate (no more than 40 seconds).
