Used to connect to a MIDI IN jack of an ex-
ternal MIDI device (such as a MIDI se-
quencer) (see page 85).

Do not connect your personal
computer to the [USB HOST] port.
2. [USB HOST] connector (USB A type)
Used to connect to an external CD-R/RW
drive for burning songs recorded by the MR-
8mkII to a CD-R/RW disc in the CD-DA (au-
dio CD) format (see page 123).
<Caution>:
If the MR-8mkII is not used for a
long period of time, remove batteries to
prevent leakage in compartment.
1. Battery compartment
To use the MR-8mkII with batteries, insert
six standard alkaline AA-type batteries to this
compartment (see page 18).
