WARNING Risk of accident whenswitch‐
ing offthe ignition when driving
If youswitch offthe ignition while driving,
safetyfunctionsare restricted or no longer
available. This mayaffect thepower steering
system and thebrake forceboosting, for
example.
Youwill then need to use considerablymore
forcetosteer and brake.

Do notswitchoff theignition while driv‐
ing.

DANGER Risk of deathcausedby
exhaustgases
Combustionengines emit poisonous exhaust
gases suchascarbon monoxide. Inhaling
these exhaustgases is hazardoustohealth
and leads to poisoning.
#
Neverleave theengine or,ifpresent,
theauxiliaryheating running in an
enclosedspace without sufficient venti‐
lation.
&
DANGER Risk of fatalinjurydue to poi‐
sonous exhaustgases
If thetailpipe is blockedorsufficient ventila‐
tion is notpossible,poisonous exhaustgases
suchascarbon monoxide mayenter thevehi‐
cle. This is thecase when thevehicle
becomes stuckinsnow, forexample.
#
Keep thetailpipe and theareaaround
thevehicle free from snowwhen the
engine or thestationaryheater arerun‐
ning.
#
Open awindowonthe side of thevehi‐

while driving, thebrake system mayoverheat.
This increases thebraking distance and the
brakesystemmay evenfail.
