Replacing the installation kit
• Requirements:
There are not any hard disk drives inst alled in the drive bays.
Otherwise you must first remove the hard disk drives.
• The casing is open (see "
Opening the ca sing", Page 36).
If you wish to use an installation kit for your hard disks which is other than that which
was installed in your device in the factory, proceed as follow s:
► If any hard disk drives are already installed, remove them (see "
Removing a hard disk", Page 58).
► If necessary, disconnect the drive cables from the installation kit:
Press the locking lug to unlock the cab le bracket and push the cable bra cket
to the rear and out of th e opening.
► Undo the screws on the old installation k it.
► Remove the installation kit from the casing.
► Position the new installation kit at the bay.
► Fasten the new installation kit with the screws.
► Secure the drive cables on the installation kit again.
► If required, connect further drive cables with sufficient drive c onne ctors to
the installation kit and the mainboard.
When connecting the cables, no te the n umbering on the installation kit and o n the cables.
