Connecting external devices
Read the documentation o n the external device before connecting it.
With the exception of USB devices, always remove all power plugs
before connecting external devices!
Do not connect or disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Always take hold of the actual plug whe n disconnecting a cable. Never pull the cable!
Connect a nd disconnect the cables in the order described below.
Cable connecting
► Switch off all affected devices.

► R emove power plugs from the m ains outlets for all device s.
► Plug all cables into the device and periphera ls. Please make sure that you always
observe the safety notes provided in "
Important notes", Pa ge 9.
► Plug all da ta communication cables into the sockets provided for the data
/ telecommunication networks.
► Plug all p ower cables into the grounded mains outlets.
USB devices are hot-pluggable. This means you can connect and disconnect
USB cables while your device is switche d on.

Disconnecting cables

data communication cables from the utility sockets.
► U nplug all cables from the device and p eripherals.
