BIOS Setup security functions
The Security menu in the BIOS Setup offers you various options for protecting your
personal data against unauthorized access, e.g.:
• Prevent unauthorised access to the system
• Prevent unauthorized access to the BIOS Setup
Before using the various options for password protection in the BIOS Set up utility
to increase data security, please observe the following:
Make a note of passwords and keep them in a safe place. If you forget your supervisor
password you will no longer be able to access your device. Deleting passwords is
not c overed by your warranty and a charge will be made for assistance.
Password protection
Your password can be a ma
ximum of 32 c haracters long and can consist of letters
and numbers. No distin
ction is made between uppercase an d lowercase.
