If you are asked by the Hotline/Service Desk to r emove and install the memory
expansion y ourself, proceed as follows:
Please observe the safety information in chapter "Importan t notes", Page 9.
The device mu st not be connected to the powe r supply when memory modules are
installed or removed, see "
Prepare to remove components", Page 45.
Only use memory extensions that have been approved for your device,
see chapter "
Technical data", Page 54.
Never use force when installing or removing a memory extension.
Make sure that foreign objects do not fall into the memory extension compartment.
You must open the service cover to remove or install a memory module. On some
devices, it is possible that opening the compartment exposes various components.
Only authorised specialists are allowed to remove or change the se components. These
instructions must there fore be followed without fail:
Individual components can become very hot during operation. For this reason
we recommend that after switching it off, you wait unt il the de vice has cooled
down. Otherwise, there is a risk of being bu rned!
As some componen ts are exposed that are sensitive to static electricity, p lease
take note of chapter "
Information about boards", Page 44.
