5 Attach a new brake roller on the shaft.
Insert the protrusion on the shaft into the slot.
6 Attach the shaft.
1 Insert the left end of the shaft into the hole in accordance with the
hole shape, and then attach the right side of the shaft.
2 Close the cover.
7 Close the ADF.

8 Reset the brake roller counter in the Software Operation
Panel.
For details, refer to "Resetting the Sheet Counters" (page 138).

ATTENTION
Confirm that the brake roller is installed properly. Otherwise, it may
cause feeding errors such as paper jams.
Be careful not to have your fingers caught
when closing the ADF.
