TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Probable Cause Correction
System does not
start.
Safety Interlock System is not
engaged or is faulty.
Check Safety Interlock System. See
Safety Interlock System on page 17.
Batteries are not charged. Charge batteries. See Charge
Batteries on page 32.
Electrical system is faulty. Contact an authorized Gravely EV
dealer.
Unit does not
drive.
Live-to-Drive feature is not
activated before parking brake is
released.
Ensure Live-to-Drive feature is
activated before releasing parking
brake. See Safety Interlock System on
page 17.
10A fuse is blown. Replace fuse. Contact an authorized
Gravely EV dealer if fuse fails again.
Fault code is present. Contact an authorized Gravely EV
dealer.
Brake wiring is faulty. Contact an authorized Gravely EV
dealer.
Parking brake is faulty. Contact an authorized Gravely EV
dealer.
Unit does not
operate at full
speed.
Battery SOC is too low. Charge batteries. See Charge
Batteries on page 32.
High / low speed switch is set to
slow speed.
Set switch to high speed drive. See
High / Low Speed Switch on page 15.
PTO
malfunctions.
Operator presence switch is not
engaged.
Activate switch by sitting on operator
seat.
Operator presence switch is
faulty.
Contact an authorized Gravely EV
dealer.
PTO switch, wiring, or
connectors are faulty.
Contact an authorized Gravely EV
dealer.
Build-up of debris under mower
deck.
Clean underside of mower deck.
Blades are locked. Disengage PTO switch and restart the
system.
Unit moves with
parking brake
engaged.
Brake bypass is engaged. Release parking brake bypass lever.
Parking brake is faulty. Contact an authorized Gravely EV
dealer.
Unit does not
drive straight.
Tire pressure is incorrect. Check tire pressure. See
Specifications on page 45.
Steering levers need adjustment. See Adjust Unit to Drive Straight on
page 36.
Steering levers need to be
recalibrated.
See Calibrate Steering Sensors on
page 37.
Poor cutting
quality.
Mower blades not level or mower
deck pitch is incorrect.
Level and adjust pitch of mower deck.
Refer to your unit’s Service Manual.
Mower blades are dull or faulty. Sharpen or replace mower blades.
Refer to your unit’s Service Manual.
Mowing speed is too fast. Drive slower when cutting grass.
Cutting height is too low. Do not set height of cut too low. For
very tall grass, mow twice.
