• Model 997002 only: To tighten, turn hex
bolts clockwise for left and center
blades and counter-clockwise for right
blade.
2. Torque bolts to 156 N•m – 217 N•m
(115 lb-ft – 160 lb-ft).
CHECK SAFETY INTERLOCK
SYSTEM
Check function of the Safety Interlock System
by performing the tests below. Contact an
authorized Gravely EV dealer for repair if any
of the tests fail.
The unit should not start when the following
conditions exist:
• Key switch is turned to the on position and
hood assembly is open.
• Key switch is turned to the on position and
seat is in the service position.
The Live-to-Drive feature should activate (see
Home Screen on page 20) when all of the
following conditions exist:
IMPORTANT: Charger must be
disconnected.
• Parking brake is engaged.
• Operator presence switch (OPC) is
engaged (operator in seat).
• Steering levers are in neutral position.
• Hood assembly is closed.
CHANGE GEARCASE OIL
1. Operate unit for a few minutes to warm
gearcase oil.
2. Remove key and wait for all moving parts
to stop and for hot parts to cool.
3. Chock front wheels and support unit so
both drive wheels are off the ground.
4. Position supports such as blocks or jack
stands under the frame.
5. Remove drive wheel. See Figure 30.
6. Position container under drain plug to
catch used oil.
See Figure 31.
7. Remove drain plug from gearcase and
allow oil to drain. Retain drain plug for
reinstallation.
8. Wipe drain plug and mounting surface
clean.
9. Remove oil fill plug for proper ventilation.
CAUTION: Use of alternate gear
oils could result in premature
wear of gearcase components
and will void the gearcase
warranty.
