USB Remote Control Function Check
Functionality

Invoke a terminal application such as Hyper
Terminal.
To check the COM port No, see the Device
Manager in the PC. For WinXP; Control panel
→ System → Hardware tab.
Run this query command via the terminal after
the instrument has been configured for USB
remote control (page 22).

This should return the Manufacturer, Model
number, Serial number, and Firmware version
in the following format.
GW-INSTEK,PSW-3036,TW123456,01.00.20110101
Manufacturer: GW-INSTEK
Model number : PSW-3036
Serial number : TW123456
Firmware version : 01.00.20110101
 ^j can be used as the terminal character when
entering the queries/commands from a terminal
application.

configured as a web server (page 24).
