î Be sure the registration information for
your scooter is accurate and current.
î Park your scooter in a locked garage
whenever possible.
î Never park your scooter in an isolated area.
Park as far as possible in a designated
parking area.
î Enter your name, address, and phone number
in this Owner's Manual and keep it in your
scooter at all times. Many times stolen
scooters are identified by information in the
Owner's Manuals that are still with them.
î Use an additional anti-theft device of good
quality.
î Always lock the steering and never
leave the key in the ignition switch.
This sounds simple but people do forget.
ANTI-THEFT TIPS
NOTE
Do not use the electric starter for more than 5
seconds at a time. Release the starter switch
for approximately 10 seconds before pressing
it again.
Your scooter's exhaust contains poisonous
carbon monoxide gas. High levels of carbon
monoxide can collect rapidly in enclosed areas
such as a garage. Do not run the engine with
the garage door closed. Even with the door
open, run the engine only long enough to
move your scooter out of the garage.
STARTING THE ENGINE
Always follow the proper starting procedure
described below. This scooter has an
automatic fuel valve and option to fit a side
stand and Side stand switch.
Operate the kick starter or electric starter
switch for slightly longer than usual without
opening the throttle if the scooter has been left
standing for a long time or when the fuel tank
has just been refilled.
