AIR CLEANER
The air cleaner element is of Dry Paper
Pleated type, it should be serviced at regular
intervals (pages 50). Service more frequently
when riding in unusually wet or dusty areas.
Refer to the safety precautions (page 48).
î Remove the body cover (page 32).
î Remove the air cleaner cover (1) by
removing the screws (2).
î Remove the air cleaner element screws (3).
î Air cleaner cleaning
Remove the air cleaner element (4)
from housing (5).
• Clean the element by tapping it gently to
loosen dust.
• Blow away the remaining dust by forcing
compressed moisture-free air using an air
nozzle (6) from the housing side (7) of
the air cleaner.
• Replace the air cleaner element if it is
excessively dirty, torn or damaged.
