î After a few minutes, remove the oil level
dipstick, wipe it clean and reinsert the oil
level dipstick without screwing it in. Remove
the oil level dipstick and check if the oil level
is between the upper and lower marks.
î Stop the engine and park the scooter
on the main stand on a level surface.
î If required, add recommended oil up to the
upper level mark. Do not overfill.
î Reinstall the oil level dipstick. Check for oil
leaks.
î Remove the oil level dipstick.
î Place an oil drain pan under the crankcase
and remove the oil drain bolt (1).

î Running the engine with insufficient oil may
cause engine damage.
î Top up if required after every 3000 km.

î Remove the oil strainer screen cap (2).

Engine oil replacement/Oil strainer
cleaning
Change the engine oil with the engine at normal
operating temperature and the scooter on its main
stand to assure complete and rapid draining.
î The spring (3) and oil strainer screen (4)
will come out when the oil strainer screen
cap is removed.
î Clean the oil strainer screen.
î Check that the oil strainer screen, sealing rubber
and cap O-ring (5) are in good condition.
