2.5.1 Forget Admin Password
You can reset admin password via reserved email or security quesons.
Change by Email
You can change admin password via email.
Before You Start

The funcon of the device varies according to different models. Refers to the
actual device for detailed informaon.

Wake up the device. Refers to Wake Up the Device for details.
You need to set a reserved email address at the wizard or tap Sengs →
Advanced Sengs → Security Sengs → Email Address to set or change the
reserved email address.
Note
Admin password is required to enter the conguraon page.
Steps
1. On the main page of the device, tap Sengs → Advanced Sengs .
2. Tap Forgot Password at the pop up window.
3. Change your admin password via reserved email address.
Note
Make sure the device has added to the Hik-Connect account.
1) Download Hik-Connect app.
2) Go to More → Reset Device Password .
3) Scan the QR code on the device and a
vericaon code will be popped up.
4) Enter the vericaon code on the device page.
5) Tap OK.
4. Create a new password and
conrm it.
Note
Admin password can not contain "admin" or "nimda".
5. Tap OK.
