2.1 No Functions Work
This procedure assumes that no functions work either from the handset or the
Attendant Control Panel (ACP).
1. Verify that all functions are unlocked.
Yes No
Unlock all functions. Go to “Function Checks” on page 2-3.
2. Verify that the cables for the handset, handset extension cable, ACP, and
control box are connected correctly.
Yes No
Connect the functional cables. Go to “Function Checks” on page
2-3.
3. Verify that the mains cable is connected to an applicable power supply.
Yes No
Connect the mains cable to the wall outlet, and proceed to
battery backup malfunction (if equipped). Go to RAP 2.6 on
page 2-15.
4. Unplug the mains power cable and use an applicable test device to check
for the presence of the voltage at the power outlet.
Yes No
Inform the applicable individuals of the power outlet failure.
Move the bed to a power outlet that is functional.
5. Examine the mains power cable for damage.
Yes No
Replace if damaged.
6. Contact Medicraft Hill-Rom Customer Service.
