4.4 Knee-break Actuator
Tools required: Screwdriver
17 mm spanner wrench
#2 phillips screwdriver
Bed stand
Removal
SHOCK HAZARD:
Failure to unplug the unit from its power source could cause injury or
equipment damage.
1. Unplug the bed power.
2. Lock all functions at the attendant control panel.
3. Set the brakes.
WARNING:
If the knee-break is in the up position, it must be braced before the
actuator bolt is removed. Failure to brace the bed correctly can cause
injury.
4. Brace the knee-break as needed.
5. Remove the nut from the bolt on the motor end of the actuator.
6. Remove the nut and bolt from the motor end of the actuator.
7. Follow the cabling towards the control box. At the first connection point,
remove the cable clamps as required to free the cable.
8. Disconnect the cable-to-control box connection as required to allow the
actuator to be removed from the bed.
