2.9 Brake or Steering Malfunction
1. Make sure that the screws/pedals/linkages are not damaged or missing
from the castor braking system.
All hardware is present and in good condition.

Replace the hardware as needed.
2. The brakes are adjusted correctly.
Yes No
Adjust the castors. See “Castor” on page 4-14.
3. Replace the castor(s). Does the problem continue?
Yes No
Go to “Final Actions” on page 2-6.
4. Replace the backrest motor. Does the problem continue?
Yes No
Go to “Final Actions” on page 2-6.
