2.6 Battery Backup Malfunction
1. Do the functions operate when plugged into mains power?
Yes No
Go to RAP 2.1 on page 2-7.
2. Is the battery fully charged?
Yes No
Fully charge the battery with a functional mains power outlet for
a minimum of 8 hours.
3. Is the battery less than three years old?
Yes No
Replace battery. Go to “Function Checks” on page 2-3.
4. Has the battery been fully drained?
NOTE:
Batteries become unusable if they are 100% discharged. If this situation
occurs, the battery will no longer accept a charge from the control box
Yes No
Replace the control box and battery. Go to “Function Checks” on
page 2-3.
5. Replace the battery.
The problem continues.
Yes No
Go to “Final Actions” on page 2-6.
6. Contact Medicraft Hill-Rom Customer Service.
